We are moving!!

Well Adam (my husband) is graduating college this December 16. Then a few days after that we will be moving to Houston so he can work for Exxon Mobil.

We are very excited about moving, but we are going to miss living and working in Lubbock. This will be a great oppertunity for both of us because he will be starting a great career, and I will get to go to school in the fall. We will be living in Kingwood which is in the Northeast part of Houston!! Wish us luck!

Remembering 9/11...

I know that this is not a fun event to remember, but I feel that it is necessary. Many lives were taken as a result of this event, and this is a way that we can remember and honor them. I have found pictures of 9/11 and wanted to share them with you today...

We all remember the magnificent World Trade Center Towers. How they stood out over all of Manhattan's skyline. Here are a few pictures of them before the attack...

Then the unthinkable happened. The beautiful towers were struck by two airplanes. Thats when all the chaos started... this day became a day that no American will forget. As I said many lives were taken that day and many families lost their mothers, fathers, wifes, husbands, brothers, sisters, friends, etc. Take a moment to pray for those families and for the continuing war in Iraq.

Here are some pictures of the reactions the people had that were in it. These pictures are really hard to believe. You never think of how much damage an explosion will cause until you see the results of it. Some of these people were actual survivors others were people that were outside of the towers. These are sad and shocking...

Then there was the brave men and women who were there to save and help the people in this tragedy. We should also pray for them and their service to this country!...

Of course we can not forget the plane that crashed into the Pentagon which also killed many people...
After things started to calm down a little bit the people started to show their American spirit which flooded the nation. The rebuilding and cleaning of the area started...

The many stages of a dogs life.

Dogs have many stages that they go through before they become an old dog. Like babies pupplies sleep and sleep, but one difference is that puppies don't care where they sleep for instance...

This puppy was having fun playing with this shoe when he decided that he was tired so he crawled in and feel asleep. Ahh isn't that sweet. Im sure whoevers shoe that is really appreciates that.
Then they move to being a toddler puppy. They are still small and cute, but now they think that they can have privileges like eating your stuff, sleeping in your bed, giving you the puppy dog eyes when they want to eat from the table at dinner time, ect. Then they go to the bathroom on your new carpet. But, every once in a while you will have one that really tries to fool you for instance this cute pup is sound asleep in his little hammock, but down deep we all know that he is going to wake up and eat your favorite pair of shoes. Now they are teenager dogs, and now they are not afraid to show there evil rebelious side. They start going places that you told them not to go, and then they just turn around and lie to your face. They start waging their tail and licking which dog language for im so inocent. Then you have the really rebelious ones for instance this dog wasn't suppose to be there, but instead of leaving he just took the no trespassing sign with him. I would say that dog needs a spakin.
Oh the days of the 20's and 30's (dog years) now they look at themselves as teenages and laugh. Now they are starting to get set in there ways because they have already lived through all the training. Now they want to be out on therir own, doing their own thing. Well the natual thing for any parents is to want to keep them at home. This dog tried to leave home and lets just say that daddy was not happy. The dog had to use his natual born talents to escape and be free. Needless to say that he was back at home that night.

Finally, They are all grown up. Now they have totally gone back to being a puppy. They sleep all the time, they have to have watered down food, ect. Then one thing that they do better is they have tons of love for others even if they don't know who or what they are loving on. For instance this dog can't see well enough to know that is a kitty and not a puppy.

Well thats ok thats the reason we love every stage of dogs lives.

Crazy Cats!

Now I am not much of a cat person, but I thought these pictures were too cute! Some of the cats Im not really sure how they got into some of those places. I guess this proves that animals don't really care where they sleep.

This cat has got to be crazy because there is no
way that can be comfortable.

I got to admit that these kittens are pretty smart.
They have already got to dominate the bed.

My question is how did that cat get that position and actually stay there long enough to go to sleep?

I guess this cat liked the way the cloths smelled.
This cat is pretty selfish don't you think because he is not
only taking up his bed but his buddy next to him that is trying to sleep.

Tiny Creation

How would you like to be this tiny? I got this picture a while ago, but I thought it was amazing how many different creatures God created. This really shows Gods creativity with the worlds creatures. This frog is smaller than that flower bud, mostlikely you would not even see it with your own eyes unless you were looking for it. I just thought it was a neat thing to think of. Hope you enjoyed it!!

Pig-Tiger

I got this email the other day about a Tiger who lost her premature baby tigers. The mother went into a depression and wasn't eating so the zoo keepers tried to think of a way to get her to eat again. They knew that she was depressed because of the lose of her babys, and so they were detemined to replace them. As they brainstormed they thought of many different small animals, but you will never guess what they ended up with. They covered baby pigs in tiger skin and put them in with the mother tiger. To there suprise she took them in just like they were her own. Crazy isn't it? I thought so. Here are some pictures of the piglets and there new mommy.

After Wedding Pics.

I just got married on May 20, 2006. These are a few pictrues from a few weeks after the wedding. My husband's (Adam) sister is a professional photographer, her wedsite is (www.shanrenee.com) and her buisness is called Captured photography by Shan Renee. If you are in need of good pictures she travels, and she is just plain amazing at what she does!!! Anyway, she was kind enough to invite us out one afternoon and take fun pictures of us when we could be relaxed and just think about being married. It was so much fun I love having a sister-in-law that is so creative and cool! Well I hope you enjoy them!

My first mosaic!

This is the first mosaic I ever finished! It was a birthday present for one of my husbands friends. Making mosaics has been a hobby of mine for about 1 1/2 to 2 years. The great thing about mosaics is that no two will ever look exactly alike no matter if you are making the same pattern or not. Also, I love that you can create so many different designs, patterns, objects, ect. Its a very fun and time consuming art. I wanted to post this mosaic because you were most likley were wondering why the name of the blog was " Y Designs - Mosaics by Apryl." Well, Y Designs is the name of my buisness and I make mosaics.
